1. Do I need to visit you for in-person lessons?
You can enjoy the comfort of your home while I travel to you! For the first lesson, we can briefly meet outside at a public place to discuss your goals before the actual lesson so that we can build some rapport early on.
2. Do you do group lessons?
In my experience, every learner is unique and progresses at a different pace. Some may have prior background in playing other instruments, while some may have a keener ear to music. To better meet each learner’s needs and maximize the use of time, currently I am only conducting 1-on-1 private piano lessons.
3. Is it ok if I have a pet at home?
Absolutely! I love pets.
4. Are online lessons really effective?
Most definitely! Since before the COVID-19 pandemic, online lessons have really taken off. This field has opened up a lot of possibilities for learners, as well as instructors, and piano-learning is no exception. In my online lessons, you will see a camera showing me, the piano, and my hands, as well as a second camera from directly above the piano so that you see my hands more clearly. I will also be screensharing the piano score so that you are seeing exactly what you would see in an in-person lesson. To demonstrate certain techniques, I will be using the camera directly above the piano to zoom in on my hands.

6. How much do you charge for private in-person / online lessons?
The amount of tuition I charge is dependent on the assessment we do during our first lesson. For absolute beginners, it is $40 CAD per hour.
